Arrival, information and city transport


Will Rogers World Airport lies southwest of the city and is connected to downtown by both Oklahoma City Metro Transit and Airport Express ($20; t 405/681-3311). The city’s Visitor Information Center (Mon–Fri 9am–6pm; t 405/602-5141, w is downtown at the Cox Convention Center, at the corner of Sheridan Ave and E.K. Gaylord Blvd. Greyhound buses call in at the Union Bus Depot at 427 W Sheridan, while Amtrak’s Heartland Flyer train arrives and departs at Santa Fe Station, directly across the street from the convention centre.

Oklahoma City’s public transportation system, Metro Transit (t 405/235-7433, w, operates Monday to Saturday; fares are $1.25 for buses and 25¢–$1 for Oklahoma Spirit Trolleys, the latter linking downtown attractions with Bricktown and, in summer, Regatta Park.
