The Museum of Occupations


South of Lossi plats, on Toompea 8, the airy and modern Museum of Occupations brings to life the personal experience of Estonians under Nazi and Soviet occupation through use of interactive exhibitions, and displays of artefacts from 1940 to 1991. It’s well worth taking time to sit and watch some of the documentary films showing the build up and course of the anti-Soviet ‘Singing Revolution’ of 1987–91.
