Arrival and information

Hubli’s railway station, close to the town centre and within walking distance of several of the hotels, is well connected to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hassan and Hospet. Hubli’s efficient KSRTC Bus Stand is 2km south of town, and can be reached by bus from the railway station or the chaotic City Bus Stand, about 1km west. The best way of getting around the city is by metered auto-rickshaw; there’s also an efficient pre-paid booth outside the railway station. ICICI Bank has an ATM at the railway station and another one halfway along Lamington Road to the City Bus Stand. For internet access, head to JC Nagar Road, where both I-way, almost opposite the Ajanta, and the Cybercafé in the Sri Naradmuni complex, charges Rs20 per hour.
