  • Christiane F. This is one of the bleakest films I have ever seen. That it is based on actual events makes it more heartbreaking. It shows a side of Berlin that is rarely witnessed.

  • The Bourne Supremacy. Berlin has been on my list of places to visit for a long time. It has now reached the top.

“Good bye Lenin” – it’s a fantastic film, one of the best I’ve ever seen. Tackles the East West German divide and wall fall in a humorous way.

  • Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run) shows the not so touristic Berlin, and besides, it’s such an original movie…

City of Angels was based off of Wender’s movies, Wings of Desire and Far Away So Close. I really love Wings of Desire. There’s a musical performance by Nick Cave and the Badseeds in their early days. Love that scene. This is one of my favorite movies. Absolutely stunning in black and white showcasing a chilly Berlin with it’s war torn run down buildings as backdrops for a film starring Columbo and the Berlin wall.
