where to stay in hong kong

I’m planning a trip to Hong Kong in Sept for the first time. Can anyone recommend a mid priced hotel that’s in a safe neighborhood? I’m thinking $59-70 a night. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you, Dee Dee

In case, you are staying there for a couple of days, then Tsim Sha Tsui is the best area as per my opinion . And in case you are going to stay there for a longer time, then you must consider staying somewhere you can find more breathing space (less people), hence Hong Kong Island would be the preferred side then.

Thank you for that advice. I’m staying a week, so I’ll look at Hong Kong island.

  • You should look at getting accommodation on the Kowloon side as Hong Kong island is very expensive. The closer you are to the water the more expensive it gets however I would suggest you check out some reviews on tripadvisor, we stayed at a place called the butterfly which was amazing but about $150 a night I think!
