We recently booked a 4×4 from Johannesburg International airport through africa-car-hire and were told we could take the vehicle into Zimbabwe. We booked all accommodation and visas from the UK and then when we got to the airport were told that we could only go as far as the Victoria Falls. When we contacted the company they unprofessionally suggested we continue without insurance. They were unwilling to help us in any other way and meant we lost a considerable amount of money and our special holiday was ruined. We want some advice on how we can persuade the company to reimburse some of the costs we incurred as a result of their advice?
